The short version: DayWeaver keeps your day on your device. It doesn't collect your data, doesn't track you, and never sends anything to us — we run no servers and have no accounts. It reads your Calendar and Reminders, and saves changes to them only when you ask it to. The current version makes no network connections at all.
This policy applies to the DayWeaver app for iPhone (formerly named Weave), including its Share extension and home screen widget, published by Methodical Enterprises LLC ("we," "us"). By using DayWeaver you agree to this policy.
Nothing. DayWeaver has no accounts of ours and no backend servers. We never receive your tasks, notes, calendar events, reminders, habits, or any other information. We cannot see how you use the app.
The things you capture in DayWeaver, your habits, your preferences, and your settings are stored only on your iPhone, in the app's own storage. A copy of the day's plan is kept in storage shared with the DayWeaver widget so it can show it. None of this leaves your device except through features of iOS that you control, such as your own iCloud device backup, or when you save entries to Calendar or Reminders as described below.
DayWeaver asks for full access to your Calendar and Reminders. It reads your events and reminders so it can show them together with your tasks on one timeline. It also writes to them, but only when you do something that asks for it:
Anything DayWeaver saves to Calendar or Reminders is handled like any change you make there yourself: it syncs to wherever that calendar or list lives, such as your iCloud account or another account you added in iOS Settings. It is never sent to us. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars / Reminders.
The current version of DayWeaver does not sign in to Google and makes no network connections. Google calendars you have added to your iPhone in iOS Settings appear in DayWeaver through Apple Calendar, as described above.
DayWeaver contains an optional direct Google connection that is turned off in the current version. If it is turned on, it works like this:
On iPhones with iOS 26 and Apple Intelligence turned on, DayWeaver uses Apple's on-device language model to tidy the title of something you capture and estimate how long it takes, and to suggest a change when an evening is too full. This runs entirely on your device. Without Apple Intelligence, DayWeaver reads your words with its own parser, also on your device. Either way, what you type is never sent to us.
You can pick screenshots of a schedule with the iOS photo picker. Only the images you pick are given to DayWeaver; it does not ask for access to your photo library. Apple's Vision framework reads the text in them on your device. DayWeaver doesn't keep the images; it keeps only the items you confirm, as captures in the app.
DayWeaver includes a Share extension so you can send text or a web link into DayWeaver from other apps. What you share, and any note you type with it, is stored on your device and picked up by the app the next time you open it. It is not transmitted anywhere, and DayWeaver does not open the link.
The DayWeaver widget shows the day the app last arranged, including the titles of your events, reminders, and tasks. It reads them from storage on your device and shows them on your Home Screen, where anyone holding your phone can see them.
If you ask for an alarm on an item, DayWeaver asks for permission to send notifications the first time, then schedules the alarm locally on your device. The notification shows the item's title and time. There is no push server and nothing is sent to us. You can turn notifications off in iOS Settings → Notifications.
DayWeaver contains no analytics, no third-party SDKs, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. We do not build a profile of you and do not track you across apps or websites. There are no purchases, subscriptions, or ads.
DayWeaver does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. It is safe for users of all ages.
Because your data lives on your device, you are always in control. By default, DayWeaver forgets a captured item once its date is more than 7 days past; you can change this to 90 days or never in Settings, and clear all captured items there at any time. Deleting the DayWeaver app removes the data it keeps in its own storage. Events and reminders it saved to Calendar or Reminders belong to those apps and stay there until you delete them. We hold nothing to delete, because we never had it.
